You Can Do It

There will come a time in your life when you will face adversity. You may feel like the whole world is against you. You may struggle with doing the right thing versus doing the wrong thing. To overcome adversity you first have to stop and breathe. Next remember that adversity is just another challenge waiting to be conquered. Finally, know that no matter what happens you already won because you did not back down. You faced adversity head on, looked it straight in the eyes, and told it you can not beat me. You already won.

Past to Present Part 2

Today I am getting married. The part of me that always seemed incomplete is about to become an impeccably finished masterpiece. The love of my life is going to be waiting for me in a garden surrounded by beautiful shades of white and green, red and blue, orange, yellow and even purple. He will be waiting for me there, in order to steal a quick moment of peace. A private moment created just for the two of us that was made of sugar and spice and everything nice; a moment of pure love. This will be the best experience of my life. I just know it.

Past to Present

It was a beautiful, bright and sunny day outside. There wasn’t a cloud in the sky. When I looked out the window and up into the air all I saw was blue. I looked at myself in the mirror and smiled at my reflection which smiled right back at me. I turned away from the mirror to start the water for the steaming hot shower I was going to take. I was looking forward to that hot shower. It was going to be the right start to a flawless day. However, when I stepped inside the shower the water was lukewarm. In fact, now that I think about it, it might have been borderline cold.
I quickly rushed through the shower, washing my body, hair, and face. I stepped out of the shower onto the cold marble floor, into a warm terry cloth robe. Despite the cool shower, I felt warm inside. I was calm. I walked out of the bathroom and turned right towards the closet. There right before my eyes hung my wedding dress. It was beautiful.
